Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot Participates in Shri Ram Katha Gnana Program
Bengaluru, : The Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, participated in the auspicious commencement of the Shri Ram Katha Gnana program organized by the Shri Ram Parivar Durga Puja Committee in Bengaluru. The spiritual event was graced by the revered presence of Param Pujya Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya Ji.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot lauded the Committee for organizing the Shri Ram Katha Jnan Yagna, calling it a noble initiative aimed at universal welfare and global peace. “When Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya narrates the Ram Katha, it transcends storytelling—it becomes a divine journey of devotion, purification, and cultural enrichment,” he said.

The Governor described Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya as a legendary saint, scholar, poet, spiritual leader, and social reformer who has made unparalleled contributions to the promotion of Sanatan Dharma, Sanskrit, Hindi literature, and Vedic knowledge. He praised the Jagadguru’s extraordinary accomplishments despite his visual disability, highlighting his sharp memory, linguistic proficiency, eloquence, and creativity. “His life is a true inspiration for all,” he remarked, noting the Jagadguru’s receipt of the Padma Vibhushan for his exemplary service to the nation and society.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot also acknowledged the Jagadguru’s role in advancing inclusive education through the establishment of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang University, the first university in India dedicated exclusively to higher education for students with disabilities.Describing the Ram Katha, the Governor said, “The discourse of Shri Rambhadracharya Maharaj interweaves classical depth, modern relevance, and profound spiritual energy. His interpretation of Shri Ramcharitmanas offers rich moral and social insights, blending Sanskrit shlokas, Hindi couplets, and local dialects, making each episode a deeply moving experience for devotees.”He emphasized that the Katha is not merely a religious ritual but a guiding light for humanity, fostering values of compassion, duty, and righteousness. “India’s ancient cultural heritage is rooted in the ideals of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. Events like these serve as powerful instruments for spiritual awakening, cultural preservation, and global harmony,” he added.

The Governor concluded by stating that in today’s world, where there is a growing quest for inner peace and spiritual meaning, such programs serve as beacons of hope and universal well-being.
