Divine Wisdom Global Laureate Honour Dr. Ravindra A. Kushtagi Receives International Recognition

Hosur, April 25: Renowned thinker and literary scholar Dr. Ravindra A. Kushtagi has been conferred the prestigious “Divine Wisdom Global Laureate” award by the Asia International Culture Academy.

The award was presented at a समारोह held in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, in the presence of Dr. Krishnamurthy Mahaswamiji, President of Sri Kshetra Dharmadhwaja Pratishtana, and Dr. B. M. Ballari of Swami Vivekananda Educational Institution. The organisers stated that the honour recognises Dr. Kushtagi’s multifaceted achievements, particularly his contributions to Bhagavata-based spiritual literature.

A Life of Balance: Profession, Detachment, and Thought

Dr. Kushtagi’s life is not a conflict between profession and renunciation, but a harmonious blend of both. Having served for decades in the mechanical engineering field, he has seamlessly integrated spirituality and literature into his journey of self-realisation.

Born on November 15, 1957, in Kalaburagi, he was raised under the value-based guidance of his parents, Late Anantacharya Kushtagi and Late Seethabai. Discipline, hard work, and ethical living formed the foundation of his personality from an early age.

Academic Excellence and Professional Career

He completed his primary and secondary education in Raichur and Shahabad, and graduated with distinction in Mechanical Engineering in 1980 from institutions in Kalaburagi.

He served for nearly 35 years in reputed organisations such as Larsen & Toubro and Integrated Electric Company. Retiring in 2016 as Chief Purchase Manager, he earned recognition for his integrity and managerial excellence.

A New Chapter: From Retirement to Literary Pursuit

Post-retirement marked the beginning of a new phase in his life. Inspired by deep contemplation of the Bhagavata, he turned towards literary creation.

Since 2020, his notable works include:

  • Krishna Kathamruta – Based on the Tenth Skandha of Srimad Bhagavata
  • Srimad Bhagavata in Saptaha Tradition
  • Harivamsha – The Khila (appendix) of the Mahabharata (published under TTD, 2024)

Through these works, he has successfully made Bhagavata philosophy accessible to the common reader.

Taking Sanatana Thought to Global Readers

By translating his works into English—BhagavathaSrimad Bhagavata Saptaha, and Samunnatha—Dr. Kushtagi has introduced Indian Sanatana philosophy to a global audience. His writing is marked by clarity and simplicity in presenting profound philosophical concepts.
